What is a failed subscription?

A failed subscription occurs when a customer attempts to register for digital delivery but their registration data does not match your records. This might happen if:

  • The contact ID, account number, or customer name provided doesn’t exactly match your contact data.

  • The contact file hasn’t been updated with the relevant contact information.


If your Mailer Options include the setting “Review Failed Registrations”, failed subscriptions will appear in a separate “Pending Failed” tab on your Dashboard. From there, you can:

  • Manually review and approve the subscription (if appropriate).

  • Update your contact file to enable automatic matching in the future.

If the setting is not enabled, failed registrations are automatically rejected and do not appear in your Dashboard.


Tip: Keep your Contacts up to date to minimise failed subscriptions.
