A Pending Failed subscription is a customer registration request that was unable to be automatically matched to your contact data — but has been held for manual review.
This only applies when the Mailer Option setting “Review Failed Registrations” is enabled for your account.
How it works
When a customer attempts to register for digital delivery (e.g. BPAY View or Smart Mailbox), Payreq tries to automatically match their subscription request against the contact data you’ve uploaded.
If the contact data matches: The subscription is automatically approved and becomes active.
If the contact data does not match: The subscription is considered “failed.”
If your Mailer Options include “Review Failed Registrations”:
The failed request is diverted to a special state called Pending Failed, visible in the Subscriptions section.
You can manually review and choose to approve the subscription (if you're able to confirm the contact) or reject it.
If this option is not enabled:
Failed subscriptions are automatically rejected and are not available for manual review.
