If you’re an authorised agent using a Payreq group account, you’ll sometimes need to add an address or update a property so you can continue receiving the correct rates notices electronically.
When you start managing a new property, please follow these simple steps.
Step 1: Inform the council or utility
Before making any changes in Payreq, you need to let the council or utility know that you are the authorised managing agent for the property.
- Complete their change of address request form (often found on their website), or
- Contact the rates team directly to update the records.
Step 2: Auto-updates vs manual updates
- If you have auto-updates set up with the council, the new property details will be automatically updated in your Payreq subscription.
- If you don’t have auto-updates, once the council has confirmed your request you’ll need to log back into the Payreq portal and add the property manually.
How to add the property in Payreq
- Log in to your Payreq account.
- Register to receive invoices for the new property in your Payreq account by clicking on 'Subscriptions' in the top menu bar.
- Click on the 'Subscribe' button.
4. Search and select the mailer you would like to receive your bills from by name.
5. Select 'Payreq MyBills Agent' from the available delivery options (Note: delivery options can vary between billers).
6. Enter or import the following information
- The verification information to allow the biller to verify you are entitled to receive the invoice. In the screens shown below, enter the Account Number and Exact Customer Name (bill recipient) as it appears on your bill. Note: these details are usually different from biller to biller.
- Click the check box to accept the Terms and Conditions
7. Your subscription request will be reviewed and you will receive an email confirmation
