When you create a Payreq account, you’ll be asked:
“Are you a property manager or Group Billing customer?”
This question helps us set up your account correctly, so you get access to the right tools for managing multiple properties or sites.
Choose Yes if…
You should select Yes if you manage bills for more than one property or location, especially if you:
Work for a real estate agency managing rental properties on behalf of owners.
Are a property manager handling rates and utility bills for multiple properties.
Work in accounts payable for a business that manages bills for many sites, like hotels, retail stores, or offices.
Need bulk tools, like registering or downloading bills for several properties at once.
Want bills to be delivered to a shared mailbox so multiple team members can access them.
If you answer Yes, you’ll need to enter your company name as part of your account setup.
This helps councils and utilities recognise you as a Group Billing customer.
Choose No if…
Select No if you:
Are paying bills for just one or two households or properties, like your own home.
Only need to view and pay bills for yourself — no team or business involved.
Don’t need bulk tools or shared access.
Why this matters
Choosing the correct option makes sure you get:
Access to Group Billing features, like bulk downloads, bulk registration, and auto-forwarding into software like MYOB, Xero, or Reckon Accounts Hosted.
The right support and setup for your type of account.
Accurate connections with councils, utilities, and other billers.
Tip:
If you’re unsure, think about how many properties you manage.
One property = select No
More than one property = select Yes
