Why you should use a personal email address with Payreq

When creating your Payreq account, it’s best to use a personal email address rather than your work email.


Here’s why:

  • If you leave your job, you’ll lose access to your work email.

  • Using a personal email ensures you always have access to your pay statements and tax documents.

  • Your Payreq account is yours to keep — it stays with you even when you change jobs.


How to check your email address:

  • Go to Account Settings in Payreq.

  • Make sure the email listed is a personal one, like Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo.

  • If needed, update your email so you don’t lose access in the future.


Tip: Your employer cannot access your personal email address through Payreq. It’s private and secure.
